The other day when I was about to make gulab jamun with instant mix, I made these Arcot pedas instead. As I made with instant mix, it took me just 20 minutes from start to finish. I also made the same recipe with khoya gulab jamun dough and found it to be more delicious.
n our home we stuff raisins or small rock sugar in the gulab jamuns so it was simple for me to make. You can make makkan peda by making gulab jamun from scratch with khoya or milk powder or using instant mix from shops.
Once the gulab jamun dough is ready, it is very easy to make these pedas. You will just need chopped dry fruits like cashews, almonds and pistachios.
Serve makkan peda chilled as dessert. You can also serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
