I had many of my readers ask for this cheese crust pizza recipe when I shared Cheese stuffed pizza here.  This cheese crust pizza has a filling of mozzeralla cubes in the crust and the rest is just like our regular pizza. I used my favorite whole wheat pizza base recipe for this cheese crust pizza too.

To make cheese crust pizza string cheese has to be used in the crust. As I could not get it, I just used mozzeralla cubes. The crust was so cheesy and tasty. I kept the toppings very simple here. Just some paneer cubes and bell pepper as I had only them. The star is the crust here 🙂

Step by step cheese crust pizza.

1.Keep the pizza dough, sauce, cheese cubes, grated cheese and toppings ready. Pre heat oven at 200C.

2. Roll the pizza dough into a 8 or 9″ circle. Place cheese cubes along the rim of the crust as seen in the pic. Apply some water over the edges and seal the cheese cubes.

3.Now just like regular pizza, apply some sauce, add topping and grated cheese. bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the cheese melts. Slice and serve cheese crust pizza hot or warm.

Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough:
  • For base:
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour +/-- 2 tablespoons
  • ¾ cup luke warm water
  • 1½ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt
  • String cheese or cubed mozeralla for stuffing the crust
  • For topping
  • 1/2 cup pizza cheese
  • Cubed bell peppers
  • Cubed paneer
  • chili flakes
  • oregano seasoning
  • Olive oil

Instructions

Notes

1. Use string cheese for crust if available.
2. you can use maida instead of wheat flour
