Overhead shot of healthy gulkand lassi

Gulkand lassi recipe is an excellent and delicious Indian summer drink that you can make it flat 5 minutes, tastes so good with subtle flavor from gulkand (rose preserve), slightly tangy from yogurt along with flavor of cardamom. This lassi is also so visually pleasing with a pale pink color that will sure attract toddlers and kids. Lassi is the most loved summer drink in India.

Every region has its own way of drinking yogurt or curd in India,  as yogurt is an excellent coolant and probiotic. Be it the neermor from South India or chaas, lassi from north India, these drinks are healthy as well as tasty.

These healthy Indian summer drinks like lassi, chaas, shinkanji, aam panna, dry fruit milkshake are far better than aerated drinks or any kind of soft drinks. These homemade drinks are pocket friendly,  provides nutrition and down right tasty.

I make it a point to prepare such healthy Indian summer drinks along with adding loads of coconut water, white pumpkin, cucumber, water melon in our diet.

Lassi comes in various flavors like mango lassi, sweet lassi, salted lassi, etc. Now coming back to this gulkand lassi recipe, we need just three ingredients for making this delicious rose flavored lassi. Fresh thick curd, gulkand and cardamom powder. Just blend or churn everything together with or without ice cubes and there you have your tasty lassi ready to serve!

Serve gulkand lassi cold as soon as made. It is better to consume within 2 hours of making else the yogurt may turn sour and bitter especially during summer. Adding ice cubes will dilute the lassi and to prevent it use chilled curd in this recipe
