Today I have a recipe for you which was born out of my curiosity. Ever since I made this granola at home,I had been envisioning a spicy version of that.Of course I have a huge sweet tooth, but if I can make a spicy crunchy munchy snack with all healthy ingredients, why not?So I kept on thinking how to make a spicy version of granola and ended up with this chivda(phew after all our very own chivda is a spicy version of granola,it took so much time for me to realize). I foresaw something, ended up making this chivda in the same lines of my earlier chivda recipe,I tweaked the recipe here and there to the suit the ingredients I had. While I started off with this chivda,I however realized few ingredients (like pumpkin seeds) were not well received,so I skipped them now.You can by all means add any kind of seeds/nuts here, after all they will add to the nutrition factor. I have changed few ingredients just to make this different from my first chivda,so you can use or leave few ingredients (see notes) as per your taste. Here in this recipe I have used oil as I am constantly being asked for vegan recipes, you can use butter/ghee too. These are the kind of snacks I love, the ones that anyone can munch at any time of the day without worrying much about oil content and when made at home you are the one who control what should go in and what should not, right, yeah this chivda takes hardly 15 minutes and you will love this.
Oats mixture recipe

4.Store in a airtight box,mix well before serving.
1.As I said above you can use butter or ghee instead of oil.
2.You can use peanuts along with channa dal
3.If you like the taste of the seeds used in granola you can add them too.
