Ingredients
1medium sized cauliflowerflorets separated
1onionfinely sliced
1/2teaspoonchilli powder
1/2teaspoonturmeric powder
Salt
Oil
For tempering:
1/2teaspoonmustard seeds
1/2teaspoonurad dal
10-12curry leaves
Instructions
Bring plenty of water to boil in a pot. Add seperated cauliflower florets along with a pinch of salt and turmeric. Boil for 2-3 minutes. Let the florets stay in hot water for 3-5 more minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat 3 teaspoons oil in a kadai. Temper with mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. Add finely chopped onions and saute till the color changes slightly.
Add the par boiled cauliflower florets and mix well.
Add salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder.
Mix well and saute for 8-10 minutes at regular intervals. Maintain medium flame.
Once the cauliflower florets are well cooked, remove from flame and serve cauliflower curry hot.
Notes
1. You can add asafoetida instead of onions 2. You can garam masala powder along with chili powder 2. You can add sambar powder instead of chili powder.
