  • 1 1/2 cups bite size cauliflower florets
  • 2 tablespoon maida/all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour/corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 20 curry leaves
  • Oil for deep frying


  • Take the cauliflower,separate the florets into bite size and par boil them along with some salt and turmeric powder. Drain all the water,wipe with a kitchen towel and set aside .
  • Take all purpose flour,rice flour,chilli powder,salt and ginger garlic paste in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add the whisked curd to it and make a lump free batter
  • Add the cauliflower florets to it and mix well. Let it sit for 30-60 minutes.
  • Heat oil for deep frying,once hot fry the florets in medium flame until golden. Do the frying in batches.
  • In the same pan,fry the curry leaves and add to the fried florets.
  • Serve gobi 65 hot with coffee/tea.


1.If you want a very crispy gobi 65 use rice flour instead of corn flour
2. You can also add fried onions along with curry leaves
