Beach style kara pori recipe-a spicy,tangy,crunchy street food from India made with boiled peanuts,puffed rice and veggies.Very filling,tasty,low calorie snack.

Ingredients (1 cup=250 ml)
  • 2 cups puffed rice
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1/8 cup grated carrot
  • 1/8 cup finely chopped cucumber
  • 1/8 cup finely chopped tomato
  • 1/8 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Lemon juice
  1. Boil the peanuts with little salt,drain the water and set aside
  2. Peel and grate the carrots,chop the cucumber,tomatoes and onions.
  3. Measure the puffed rice and set aside.
  4. Mix all the veggies and add the boiled peanuts.Add salt and mix well.
  5. Add the puffed rice only at the time of serving,else it will turn soggy
  6. Add the lemon juice,mix well and there you have spicy,tangy,crunchy all in one beach style kara pori :)
Recipe Notes

1.You can add 1/8 cup finely chopped raw mangoes
2.Cucumber is optional
3.You can add some amchoor or chaat masala but it is not added in any street shops
4.I have added very less chilli powder,you may choose to add more as per taste.
