  • 6 bread slices
  • 2 small carrots peeled and chopped very fine
  • 1 small green bell pepper chopped very fine
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • Salt
  • Butter


  • Take the bread slices and trim the edges.Cut each slice into 2 and apply butter on both sides. Peel the carrots and chop them very fine.Slice the onions,chop the capsicum very fine
  • Arrange the slices in a baking tray and toast from one side for 5 minutes,until the bread slices just turn slightly crisp.
  • Take the chopped veggies in a mixing bowl and add the grated cheese to it.Add salt,oregano,chilli flakes and mix well.
  • Arrange the bread slices on a grilling plate/tray with toasted side down.Now spoon in the cheese-veggie mixture over each slice,grill in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes,until the cheese melts and bread turns crispy.Serve hot


1.Add less salt at the start,taste and add more salt as the cheese contains salt already
2.Try not to grate the carrots as it will the turn the vegetable mixture soggy.This toast tastes great when the veggies are crunchy.
