  • 2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


  • Clean, wipe and hull the strawberries. Cut each berry into half or quarters. Measure the chopped berries. For 2 cups of chopped berries you can add 3 or 4 tablespoons of sugar.
  • Add the chopped berries and sugar in a heavy pan. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes in medium flame. Mash the berries with a ladle as you cook.
  • Once the sauce is thickened and glossy add lemon juice and remove from flame. Cool to room temperature before serving. Serve as breakfast or dessert topping.
