Ingredients

  • For paneer masala:
  • 200 grams paneer crumbled
  • 1 big onion chopped
  • 1 big tomato chopped
  • 1/2 inch +2 green chilies crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • Salt
  • For cheese mixture:
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 2-3 green chilies chopped
  • For making paneer cheese toast
  • 6 bread slices
  • Butter for toasting

Instructions

  • Heat a pan with 2 teaspoons oil. temper with cumin seeds. Add crushed ginger-green chili and saute well. Add chopped onions and saute till they turn soft.Add tomatoes and saute till they turn mushy.
  • Add red chili powder, garam masala and required salt. Saute till the tomatoes are well cooked.
  • Add crumbled paneer and toss quickly. Let cool for sometime
  • In a small bowl take grated cheese, green chilies and pepper powder. mix well.
  • Heat a tava and spread some butter. Spread some butter on 6 bread slices. Toast the bread slices on low flame until crispy.
  • Keep 2-3 tablespoons paneer masala on each bread slice. Top with cheese mixture. Cover and cook till the cheese melts. Serve paneer cheese toast hot.
