Ingredients

  • 250 grams dar chocolate finely chopped OR 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons fresh cream
  • cocoa powder or chopped nuts for rolling
  • Vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • Refrigerate cream for 2 hours. Now take the thick cream in a pan. Cook in low heat and bring to a simmer. Do not let the cream the boil. Finely chop the dark chocolate.
  • Remove the cream from flame. Add the dark chocolate bits and mix gently. Mix well till all the chocolate is dissolved. The mixture will be glossy and shiny. Refrigerate the mixture for 3-4 hours
  • Take the chilled truffles mixture and start making truffles. I used a tablespoon to scoop the mixture for making uniform sized truffles. Roll the shaped truffles in cocoa powder or chopped nuts.
  • Arrange in a baking sheet and refrigerate. Serve chocolate truffles as needed.

Notes

1. You can add any flavoring of your choice like orange essence, cardamom or butterscotch.
2. You can add finely chopped nuts to the truffle mixture after adding chocolate.
