Ingredients

  • 200 grams paneer grated
  • 1 big potato boiled and mashed
  • 1/2 cup boiled corn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons gram flour
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves tightly packed
  • 3 green chilies
  • 1 " ginger peeled
  • Salt
  • 1-3 teaspoons oil
  • Poha crumbs OR bread crumbs OR sooji

Instructions

  • Boil, peel and mash the potatoes thoroughly. Crumble or grate the paneer well.
  • Pound mint leaves, peeled ginger and green chilies coarsely.
  • Take grated paneer, mashed potatoes and ginger mint paste in a mixing bowl. Mix well. Season with salt.
  • Add 3 tablespoons gram flour to it. Mix and make a dough.
  • Divide the mixture into equal balls. Shape each ball into a tikki. Roll each tikki in bread crumbs or poha crumbs or sooji.
  • Heat a grill pan and add 1 teaspoon oil. Spread the oil well with a brush.
  • Place the shaped cutlets and cook in medium flame till grill marks appear and cutlets turn golden brown. Repeat the same with the whole dough. Add 1-2 teaspoons oil to grease the pan. Serve grilled paneer tikki hot.

Notes

1. Grilling with very less oil takes time. To speed up the process you can deep fry the tikkis.
2. You can skip corn if you prefer.
