  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chilled butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper powder
  • Cold water


  • Take butter in a mixing bowl. To that sieve wheat flour, salt, sugar and baking soda. Mix well till the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
  • To that add grated cheese, sugar and pepper powder. Mix and rub well and try to make a dough. Sprinkle cold water as required and make a soft dough. Chill it for 15 minutes
  • preheat oven at 180C. Roll the chilled dough into a circle of 1/4-1/8 thickness. using pizza cutter or knife cutout small diamonds
  • Arrange on a greased baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes. Cool thoroughly before storing. Serve cheselings with tea.
