Cheese Paratha

Cheese paratha is a delicious and rich Indian flatbread, a variation of plain paratha with grated cheese stuffing. It is a filling and wholesome meal for toddlers and kids that you can serve for breakfast or lunch.

Ingredients

For Paratha Dough

  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

For cheese filling

  • 1/2 cup sweet corn boiled
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • Salt
  • Chilli flakes

Instructions

  • Take 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, salt and required water in a mixing bowl. Knead to soft and pliable dough and set aside.

  • Steam, boil or pressure cook sweet corn kernels. Drain and take in a mixing bowl. Add grated cheese and mix well.
  • Add salt, pepper powder and dried herbs. Mix well and set aside.
  • Divide the prepared dough into 4 equal parts. Divide the filling into 4 equal parts too.

  • Take one dough ball and roll into small circle. Keep one portion of cheese corn filling in the center and close from all the sides. Roll again carefully into a thick paratha.
  • Place the rolled paratha on a hot tava and cook from both sides with butter/ghee. Repeat the same with remaining dough. Serve cheese paratha hot with sauce.

Notes

1. Add seasoning as per your choice.
2. Use butter for nice flavor and taste
