Butter corn pasta recipe| Easy pasta recipes

Easy and tasty butter corn pasta with very few ingredients,great for kids and toddlers!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 1 large tomato chopped very fine
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons grated cheese

Instructions

  • Cook and drain penne as per package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta cooking water.Pressure cook sweet corn kernels until soft. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat butter in a kadai and wait till it turns fragrant. Once the butter is browned add the corn kernels and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add the very finely chopped tomato and saute till it turns mushy. Add salt,pepper powder and sugar,mix well and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta,adjust salt and mix well.
  • Add dried oregano and mix well. If the pasta appears dry add 1/4 cup pasta cooking water (use as little as needed).
  • Add the grated cheese,mix well and serve butter corn pasta hot.

Notes

1. Use pasta cooking water only if the cooked pasta appears dry,use as little as needed else the pasta may turn soggy.
2. You can add finely chopped onions along with sweet corn kernels.
3. Use white pepper powder for mild flavor and color.
