Ingredients

to make paratha dough

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • salt
  • water

To make sattu stuffing

  • 1 cup sattu flour
  • 2 big onions finely chopped
  • 3 green chilies finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger-garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup water

Other ingredients

  • butter or ghee or oil to fry the parathas

Instructions

To make paratha dough:

  • Mix wheat flour, oil and together. Add water gradually and mix well. knead into a soft and smooth dough. Set aside for 20 minutes.

To make paratha stuffing:

  • Take chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, minced ginger garlic in a mixing bowl.
  • Add sattu flour, chaat masala powder, salt and mix well.
  • Add 1/4 cup water to make soft filling. 

To make the paratha.

  • Divide the paratha dough into 10 balls.
  • Divide the filling into 10 equal portions.
  • Roll a dough ball into a small circle. Place the stuffing in the middle and close from the edges. Seal and roll into thin paratha.
  • Heat a griddle or tava well. Spread some butter or ghee. Place the paratha on hot griddle or tava. Cook from both sides until the paratha turns golden with few brown spots. Serve hot.
