Indian Badam Milk Recipe (Badam Dhoodh)
Indian badam milk recipe- healthy and delicious Indian badam milk or badam dhoodh made with blached almonds, whole milk and saffron. Healthy and energetic drink for toddlers and kids
- 25 whole almonds
- 500 ml Whole Milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon saffron strands optional
- 2 green cardamons only pods
- 3 tablespoons slivered almonds and pistachios garnish
Soak whole almonds for 6-8 hours and peel off the skin. Alternately you can quickly blanch the almonds
Boil 2 cups or 500 ml whole milk.
Take blanched almonds, sugar, saffron strands and cardamom pods in a mixer jar. Add 1/4 cup warm milk and grind to a smooth paste.
Add the ground paste to the remaining boiled milk. You may simmer it for 5-10 minutes if preferred. Garnish with slivered almonds, saffron and serve badam milk warm or chilled.
Serve badam milk hot or cold depending on the weather. You can serve this as snack or in breakfast after a light meal.
