Bhindi Fry Recipe
Punjabi Bhindi fry is a delicious, crispy and dry okra fry that you can make in 15 minutes. Best served with rice, dal or roti.

- 2 tablespoons oil groundnut oil or sesame oil or any vegetable oil
- 250 grams okra rinsed, dried and chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt , to taste
Gently rinse the bhindi (okra) in water and pat them dry thoroughly. Slice and remove the crown and tail of the bhindi. Chop them into big pieces. Set aside.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan. temper with cumin seeds.
Add the chopped bhindi and saute well for 2 minutes.
Now add salt and mix well.
Next add garam masala powder.
Add chili powder and turmeric powder. Mix and saute in medium flame for 3-4 minutes.
Continue to cook for 10-12 minutes in open pan until the bhindi is dry and crispy. Serve hot with rice or roti.
