Subway Paneer Tikka Sandiwch

Subway style delicious Indian paneer tikka sandwich made easily without much sauce. So quick, tastes yum and much healthier!

Ingredients

For paneer tikka filling

  • 200 grams paneer, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons curd yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons gram flour chickpea flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

To make paneer tikka sandwich

  • 3 subway rolls or dinner rolls or Indian pav
  • 3 tablespoon tomato sauce or mayonnaise
  • 1 cucumber sliced
  • 2 tomatoes sliced

Instructions

  • Combine gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Add curd and make a lump free paste.
  • Add the paneer cubes and mix well. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and temper with cumin seeds.
  • Add chopped onions, bell peppers and saute well for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add the marinated paneer along with marination.
  • Mix well, saute and cook till the masala gets well cooked. It may take around 5-7 minutes.
  • Once done, add lemon juice and mix well. Let cool for 10 minutes.

To assemble paneer tikka sandwich:

  • Slit the whole wheat roll halfway through.
  • Spread some butter and toast slightly on hot tava.
  • Spread some tomato sauce or ketchup in the rolls.
  • Place generous amount of paneer tikka masala.
  • Place chopped tomatoes and cucumbers.
  • Close with the other half of the roll and serve immediately.
