Cilantro Pesto Recipe

Quick and easy pesto sauce recipe made with fresh cilantro leaves, onions and chilies.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 2 tablepoons walnuts optional
  • 1.5 cups cilantro leaves tightly packed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 green chilies
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Dry roast almonds in a hot skillet or tava for 3-4 minutes. Let cool
  • Transfer to a mixer or blender jar or food processor. Blend along with roughly chopped coriander leaves, onions, chilies and salt. Finally add olive oil and blend again.
  • Store cilantro pesto in clean jar and use a s required.
