Pepper Paneer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 big tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 big onion cubed
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste or minced ginger garlic
  • 2 green chilies slit
  • 1 cup cubed bell peppers mixed colors or green
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoom turmeric powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • 200 grams cubed paneer
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves

Instructions

  • Puree 2 large tomatoes. Cube the bell peppers, onion and paneer.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil or ghee in a pan. Temper with cumin seeds.
  • Add cubed onions and saute well. Next add ginger garlic, slit green chili and saute thoroughly.
  • Now add the cubed peppers and mix well. Saute till they wilt a bit.
  • Now add the tomato puree and mix well. Cook for 6-8 minutes till the tomato puree gets well cooked.
  • Add the turmeric powder and cumin powder. Mix well and saute. Season with salt.
  • Now add pepper powder and mix well. Add the cubed paneer and toss. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with cilantro leaves and remove from flame. Serve hot.
