Maa Laddu Recipe

Maa laddu recipe is an easy, quick and beginners sweet that you can make for this Diwali in 15 minutes. This laddu recipe is as easy powdering sugar and melting ghee. Made with roasted gram dal this ladoo is a wholesome snack for toddlers and kids also. Here is how you can make easy maa laddu with step by step photos.

  • 1 cup roasted gram dal
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 6 small cardamom pods
  • 1/4 cup melted ghee plus 2 more tablespoons if needed
  • 10 cashews broken
  • 1 tablespoon pistachios broken


  • Take roasted gram dal, sugar and cardamom pods in a clean dry mixer jar. Make a very fine powder.
  • Take the powder in a wide bowl.
  • Melt ghee in a small pan. Add broken cashews and pistachios. Fry until golden.
  • Add the melted ghee along with nuts to powdered dal. Mix well with a spoon.
  • Using a tablespoon scoop out equal portions and shape into laddus.
