Chocolate Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons corn flour
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients except water and vanilla well into a sauce pan.
  • Add water slowly and mix well without lumps. Add vanilla and mix well.
  • Cook gently in low flame for five minutes, whisking contentiously
  • The sauce will thicken and coat the back of the ladle. 
  • Let cool thoroughly and store chocolate syrup in clean dry bottle.

Notes

Chocolate Milk:
Mix 2 tablespoons of prepared chocolate syrup to 1 cup chilled milk.
