Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups water
  • salt to taste
  • few drops oil optional
  • few drops lemon juice optional

Instructions

  • Measure 1 cup raw basmati rice and rinse just once to remove excess starch.

  • Soak in plenty of water for 30 minutes. Drain and spread on a plate for 5 minutes.

  • Add 2 cups water and few drops of oil in a heavy pan or pot.
