Strawberry Chocolate Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 banana ripe, small
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

To serve

  • coconut cream
  • mixed seeds
  • halved strawberries

Instructions

  • Rinse, wipe and hull the berries. If you prefer you can slice them into halves. If you are using frozen berries, just add 1 cup frozen strawberries as such.

  • Add chopped banana, hulled berries in a blender jar.

  • Add milk, sugar.

  • Next add protein powder, cocoa powder.

  • Blend until smooth.

  • Transfer strawberry chocolate smoothie to a serving glass and add some mixed seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure to taste the fruit before blending to ensure it is not overly tart.
  • Use a high power blender to make creamy smoothie.
  • You can add few ice cubes to the thicken the smoothie if you like.
  • To make a super thick smoothie you can 2 teaspoons chia seeds or 1 tablespoon oats while blending. Add all the ingredients and blend until smooth. You can do this for all smoothies.
  • For intense chocolate flavor you cam add 1 tablespoons chocolate sauce or spread along with all the ingredients.
  • For a rich flavor you can add 1 tablespoon almond butter while blending.
