  • 1 cup grated/crumbled paneer
  • 3 tablespoons corn flour
  • ½ teaspoon crushed ginger
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chaat/amchur powder
  • 2 green chillies chopped fine
  • Salt
  • Oil for shallow frying

  • Prepare paneer mixture as mentioned here in paneer paratha recipe. Powder 3-4 bread slices.
  • Mix in 2-3 tablespoons cornflour to the paneer mixture and knead well. Divide the entire mixture into 12-14 equal sized balls.
  • Heat oil in a shallow frying pan. While the oil is getting heated, coat the paneer balls with bread crumbs and flatten slightly.
  • Slide the shaped tikkis into the hot pan and cook for 3-4minutes in medium flame.
  • Turn the tikkis gently and cook till golden from both sides. Remove to a kitchen towel.
  • Serve paneer tikkis ho with mint chutney and coffee

1. If you don't have bread you can use crushed oats or cornflakes to coat the tikkis.
2. Instead of cornflour you can rice flour too for binding.
