I have been making these butter biscuits for quite sometime and this is a huge favorite at home.
Butter biscuit is easy to make with just three ingredients. They are so attractive to look at and tastes delicious too. These butter biscuits are delicate and crumbly. There are no flavoring agents like vanilla or cardamon n these cookies. Also these butter biscuits are no overly sweet. Moderately sweet and slightly salty these butter cookies are perfect with tea.
The recipe of this butter biscuit is tried and tested. I have been making this for quite sometime as we love like these biscuits very much. We like homemade cookies at our home and I make some healthy cookies like dates cookies, oats cookies, red velvet cookies often.
To make butter biscuits recipe we need flour, butter, sugar and salt. No vanilla or any other flavoring should be added. I like to make these butter biscuits with 1/4 cup sugar and a generous pinch of salt. You can add up to 1/2 cup sugar if you want sweeter cookies. I have used unsalted amul butter to make butter biscuits here. You can use salted butter too.
Store butter biscuits airtight and serve with cutting chai 🙂 You can also serve butter biscuits with milk.

How to make butter biscuit recipe
1. Take soft butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat until light and creamy.
2. Add flour and salt. Mix well and knead slightly. Wrap the dough in butter paper and chill for an hour or 2.
3. Preheat oven at 170C 15 minutes before baking. You can either roll the dough and cut out cookies or shape each cookie by hand as I have did. Arrange the shaped cookies in a cookie tray.
4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn slightly dark. The cookie crisp up on cooling, so do not wait for the cookies to turn color or crisp up in the oven. Butte biscuits are meant to be in light shade. Serve butter biscuits at room temperature with tea or milk.
