Crostini recipe with step by step photos. Crostini is an appetizer or snack served with drinks, made using baguette slices and various toppings. I made crostini and bruschetta with my homemade baguette some time back. I some how missed to share the recipe, so here it is now.
The first ever crostini I tasted was the one made by me and I liked it very much. I like all snacks with bread so this is no exception :). I liked the idea of adding so many colorful veggies as toppings. You could make this crostini recipe very healthy by using multi grain bread. You could even avoid cheese if you wish.
To make crostini recipe I have used homemade baguette slices. You can use store bought bread. If you could nit get baguette then you can use any thick slice of bread. I have used whatever veggies I had in hand. You can be creative and use as per your taste.

Step by step crostini recipe
1. Mix minced garlic, chili flakes, dried oregano well. Add this to the soft butter and mix well. Take all the veggies in a mixing bowl. Add grated cheese, salt and pepper. Mix well. Preheat oven at 180C.
2. Arrange baguette slices in a baking tray and toast the slices for 5 minutes.
3. Now flip the bread slices so that the toasted sides are down. Apply the spiced butter evenly on all the slices.
4. Now top the veggie mixture on each slice. Drizzle few drops of olive oil on each slice. Return to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes. Serve hot.

1 CUP = 250 ml
Ingredients
- 6 baguette slices
- 1/2 bell pepper chopped
- 1 to mato chopped
- 2 baby corns chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- Grated cheese
- Chili flakes
- Pepper powder
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- Olive oil
- Salt
