Herb and cheese cookies recipe with step by step photos. Sharing a very easy to make crispy, crunchy and cheesy cookies flavored with dried herbs. This herb and cheese cookies was in my mind for a long time and got to bake them last week. So cheesy and so flavorful this herb and cheese cookies will be a hit when served with coffee.
I have used whole wheat flour to make these herb and cheese cookies. You can use cheddar or even mozeralla cheese in these cookies. You can use any dried herbs of your choice. I have used dried basil, oregano and parsley. Do not try to reduce or replace butter in this recipe as butter makes these cookies very crispy and crumbly.
To make herb and cheese cookies recipe as I said above I have used wheat flour. You can use maida or combination of both. Remove the cookies from oven once the edges are slightly golden brown and cookies are firm to touch. Do not wait for the cookies to change color completely.
Serve herb and cheese cookies at room temperature with coffee.

1. Take wheat flour, salt, baking powder,pepper powder, dried herbs and chili flakes in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
2. To the flour mixture, add 60 grams very cold butter, cut into pieces, 50 grams grated cheese and mix well. Mix well to incorporate the butter well. The mixture should resemble crumbs.
3. Now add 2-3 tablespoons milk and bring everything together to make a dough. Do not knead very hard. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Preheat oven at 180C. Roll the dough into a circle.
5. Slice into desired shape and arrange in a greased baking sheet.
6. Bake in the hot oven for 18-20 minutes. Serve herb and cheese cookies with coffee.
