There are many variations in paneer kathi roll recipe. Here I am sharing the simplest and easy paneer kathi roll without much prep work. The only thing you need to prepare is green chutney. You can even use store bought green chutney to save time. Instead of an elaborate salad I have used raw onions. The addition of raw onions and green chutney just make this paneer kathi roll lip smacking good. You can serve paneer wrap as snack. You can even pack this paneer kathi roll in tiffin for toddlers and kids. Just make sure the green chutney is not spicy though.
To make paneer kathi roll I have made a simple stir fry with paneer and vegetables. You can even use paneer tikka in this recipe to make paneer tikka wrap. What I am sharing here is just an idea. There are many variations and different recipes for paneer kathi roll. I have not used any store bought tomato sauce or chili sauce in this recipe. If you want you can add one tablespoon tomato sauce or ketchup while making stir fry for paneer kathi roll. aloo paneer
Just like any other paneer recipe it is best to use homemade paneer for paneer kathi roll. If using store bought paneer make sure it is fresh. if using frozen paneer make sure to thaw the paneer well so that it stays soft in paneer wrap. I have used colored bell peppers in the stir fry. You can add shredded cabbage and carrot too. As an alternative method, you can add shredded cabbage and carrot as salad along with onions. instead of green chutney you can use spicy red chutney in paneer wrap recipe too.
Serve paneer kathi roll as snack or tiffin. It is an on the go wrap so there is no need to serve any green chutney or sauce in the side. This paneer wrap is completely an experience in itself.

Ingredients
- For paneer stir fry
- 200 grams paneer cubed
- 3/4 cup sliced mixed bell peppers
- 1 onion sliced thin
- 1 to mato finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon crushed ginger garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon oil
- For paneer kathi roll or paneer wrap.
- 4 rotis or plain parathas
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup green chutney
Instructions
- To make paneer stir fry
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add crushed ginger garlic and saute till raw smell goes off
- Add sliced onions and saute for few minutes.
- Add sliced tomatoes and saute till it turns mushy.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and saute in high flame for 2 minutes. The peppers should not loose their crunch.
- Add salt, sugar, chili powder and garam masala. Mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the paneer cubes and toss quickly. Remove from flame and let cool for 10 minutes
- To make paneer kathi roll or paneer wrap.
- Take roti or plain paratha and warm it on hot tava for few seconds.
- Place the warm roti over a piece of butter paper or foil.
- Spread some green chutney. Add some onions as seen in the picture.
- Now place a generous amount of paneer stir fry.
- Roll the roti tightly along with the paper. You can insert a tooth pick to keep the wrap intact.
- Serve paneer kathi roll immedietly. You can also pack the paneer wrap in tiifin.
