Paal ice is my most favorite one from the ice vendor in the streets during childhood. We always to buy the ones from “state ice creams” and the paal ice goes by the name pop sticks :). There  used to be some variations with paal ice, javarisi paal ice, semiya paal ice, sabja paal ice etc. We frankly gobbled up everything and today I am sharing a very easy and delicious recipe for semiya paal ice.

To make semiya paal ice recipe, we need just milk, semiya, condensed milk and sugar. Just 4 ingredients. You can add a dash of vanilla but it is not really necessary. Just 4 ingredients and you need 20 minutes to make this semiya paal ice.

Serve semiya paal ice as snack or dessert once frozen.

Step by step semiya paal ice recipe.

1.Bring milk to a boil, add condensed milk and mix well. Add semiya to it. Cook in low flame for 10 minutes until the semiya is well cooked.

2. Once the semiya is well cooked add sugar amd cook for 5 more minutes till sugar is dissolved and the mixture turns thick. Let cool to room temperature.

3. Pour the milk in popsicle moulds and freeze for 12 hours. Unmould and serve semiya paal ice once frozen.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/8 cup or small handful of roasted semiya
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 3-4 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

  • Bring milk to a boil, add condensed milk and mix well. Add semiya to it. Cook in low flame for 10 minutes until the semiya is well cooked.
  • Once the semiya is well cooked add sugar amd cook for 5 more minutes till sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour the milk in popsicle moulds and freeze for 12 hours. Unmould and serve semiya paal ice once frozen.

Notes

1. You can add more vermicelli if you like. I like to keep it minimum
2. You can add sago and make the same recipe
