  • 1 cup cubed pumpkin peeled
  • 10 almonds optional
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • toasted nuts for serving
  • few saffron strands


  • Peel and chop the pumpkin into cubes. Pressure cook along with 10 almonds for 3-4 whistles.
  • Drain and peel the almonds. Blend into a smooth puree
  • Bring 2 cups whole milk to a boil. Add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk and mix well. Simmer for 6-7 minutes.
  • Add the pureed pumpkin and mix well. Simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add cardamom powder and mix well. Remove from flame. Serve chilled or warmed.
