Sweet corn vada recipe is an instant snack you can make for toddlers and kids this summer. The whole recipe is made in a food processor and it is a mess free recipe. No soak, no chop  easy sweet corn vada recipe in 5 minutes. By the time the oil gets hot your batter will be ready 🙂

To make sweet corn vada recipe, no need to boil corn kernels as we are deep frying it. I have used rava here, for gluten free option yu can use rice flour too. Corn vada turns out to be so delicious and crispy , a very good snack with tea.

Serve corn vada hot with sauce or chutney.

Step by step sweet corn vada recipe.

1. Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai. Maintain medium flame.

2. Add 1 cup sweet corn kernels, 3/4 cup rava, 1 roughly chopped onion, 1/2″ peeled ginger, 3-4 green chilies, required salt in a food processor.

3. Pulse 8-10 times. Add 1/8-1/4 cup water just to bind everything. Vada batter is ready.

4. Take a lemon sized ball of batter and shape like vada with a hole in center. Deep fry in hot oil. Serve corn vada hot with sauce.

  • 1 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 3/4 cup fine sooji/rava
  • 1 big onion
  • 1/2 " ginger
  • 3-4 green chilies
  • 1/2 cup cilantro leaves
  • Salt

1.You can add rice flour instead of rava
