Dal mixture recipe Mumbai style with step by step photos. I am a big fan of this dal mixture also known as Bombay mixture in sweet shops here. Unlike madras mixture or cornflakes mixture, this dal mixture looks more thin and I Like it more than any other mixture varieties.

I made this dal mixture recipe last year for Diwali and clicked pics too. I missed sharing this last year somehow. Today while going through the old pics I wanted to post it so here is dal mixture recipe for you all.

Dal mixture recipe is very very easy one compared to madras mixture recipe. You do not have to prepare many recipes like kara boondi, omapodi etc. We just need to fry whole masoor dal, peanuts, almonds etc. For sev you can make omapodi or use store bought sev too. If using store bought sev be cautious while adding salt to the mixture.

To make dal mixture recipe we need whole masoor dal. Peanuts, cashews, almonds and plain sev. You can also add raisins if needed. Black salr and red chili powder are the seasoning ingredients. You can add amchoor, chaatmasala powder to if needed. Only point to remember while makig this dal mixture is to soak, drain and dry the masoor dal very well before frying. If not soaked properly the dal will not crisp up while frying. If the dal is not dried well it will burst while frying.
