Why Make Almond Milk At Home?

While it is so convenient to pick your stash of almond milk from stores, making at home means you are in tital control. You can make it however you want like

  • sweetened milk with your preferred sweetener
  • Plain and unsweetened as I have done here
  • Use a combination of nuts or seeds and make your own blend

Also non dairy milk choice is not easily available yet in small towns , they are very expensive even if available, so making your won batch of almond milk is the perfect choice. This is a great alternate for those with lactose intolerance even if you are not vegan.

The procedure for making any nut milk is simple and same. Here instead of almonds you can even use cashews or any other nuts. Soak, peel if necessary, blend with water, strain and adjust the consistency of the milk with more water if needed.

To make your nut milk more delicious you can even add pitted dates. If you are making this milk for using in recipes, it is better to keep it plain though.

The procedure remains same for even oats milk. Just blend with water, strain and use in your recipes. Do try out this recipe and I am sure you will never go back to store bought almond milk, this recipe is fun, easy and really good. Not to forget there are no preservatives or fillers
