Cocoa brownies recipe made healthier with whole wheat flour and raw cane sugar. Vegan healthy treats that are rich and decadent.
Cocoa brownies recipe with step by step photos. Sharing a healthier cocoa brownies recipe made with cane sugar, whole wheat flour and no eggs. I am using the word healthier rather than healthy because even though made with whole wheat flour and cane sugar, treats are meant to treats and moderation is the key 🙂 However made with whole wheat and cane sugar, these cocoa brownies are better than maida brownies any day.
I like these cocoa brownies more than regular chocolate brownies I blogged few days back. These brownies are fudge like, gooey and so so delicious. Use the best quality cocoa powder you can find as that decides the taste of these cocoa brownies. The addition of walnuts adds wonderful crunch and chocolate chips make the brownies even more chocolatey and rich.
To make cocoa brownies recipe we need cocoa powder, cane sugar, butter, baking powder, walnuts, chocolate chips and curd. Use fresh curd that is whisked well. These brownies have a nice cracked and crinkled top and texture is absolutely soft and moist. So allow the cocoa brownies to cool thoroughly and be very gentle while slicing to get neat slices.
Serve cocoa brownies with coffee or tea as snack or as dessert after meals.
