Kulukki sarbath recipe is a tasty and refreshing Indian summer drink from Kerala. This a very famous sweet and spicy drink made with combinations and popular all over south India. As this kulukki sarbath is made in a shaker it is something similar to lemon shakeups. The word kulukki means “to shake”.
I was planning to make this recipe of kulukki sarbath since last year. I have seen many combinations in this recipe. I have tried the same recipe with lemon juice alone as well as lemon pineapple combination. We liked the one with pineapple juice the most. So sharing it here today.
Variations with kulukki sarbath recipe:
- You can make this sarbath especially with any kind of juice. While I have used fresh homemade pineapple juice yet you can use any other option too. Store bought plain pineapple juice or lemon juice also. Even you can use club soda instead of water.
- The taste and flavor of this sarbath can be customized as per preference. When making for kids you can leave out chili totally.
This kulukki sarbath can be made in a cocktail shaker if available. Else you can use a jar with a tight jar just like I did.
Serve kulukki sarbath with loads of ice cubes, mint leaves and lemon wedges.
