Making a tea time snack with paneer that can also be served as starter was in my to do list for a long time but whenever I have paneer in hand I end up making side dish for rotis or paneer pulao or paratha. This time When I had all the ingredients required for this paneer roll recipe, I quickly whipped up the dough and prepared these rolls.
To make paneer roll recipe at home you need very few basic ingredients that you probably have in hand. These rolls are so tasty and flavorful, they make an excellent snack to serve along with tea, for toddlers and kids you can serve this healthy rolls along with milkshake for a filling and healthy snack. What I am sharing here is a basic idea, you can add any seasoning or flavors of your choice to make paneer roll recipe (see notes).
This easy paneer snack can be prepared within 15 minutes, yeah it so easy, you can make the rolls while the oil is heating and then deep or shallow fry the prepared rolls! paneer roll recipe with step by step photos.
1. First begin by heating oil. I have deep fried the rolls here, you can even shallow fry them.
2. take the crumbled paneer in a mixing bowl. Mash it very well.
3. Tear bread into small pieces and add to the crumbled paneer. Add cilantro leaves, peeled and grated ginger, cut green chillies.
4. Add salt, maida and curd. Knead well and form like a thick dough.
5. Divide the dough into6-7 equal portions. Shape each portion into cylinder and set aside.
6. Slide the shaped rolls into the hot oil and deep fry until golden from all the sides.
7. Serve paneer roll piping hot with tea/coffee/milkshake.

- 3 bread slices
- 2 tablespoons maida
- 2 tablespoons curd
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon pelled and grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons cilantro leaves
- Salt
- Oil for frying

you can but you should work out the quantity, even if potato is added you may need to add some flour

That depends, in few recipes like pizza and in some cakes you can use wheat flour instead of maida but I would suggest you try different flours and arrive at the best you like
