Badam Shake Ingredients
Almonds or Badam
I prefer to use blanched and peeled almonds especially during summer. Raw badam has warming properties so when making almond shake during hotter months I suggest you blanch, peel and discard the skin. Along with almonds you can use a small pinch of badam milk powder or milk masala powder for flavor. I have not used it now though.
Which Milk To Use?
I have used skimmed dairy milk in this recipe. Boiled and chilled milk works best. You can also use frozen milk. For vegan badam shake you can use almond milk or any dairy free milk.
To flavor the milk shake you can use pure almond extract and vanilla extract. The flavor of vanilla is very good in this shake.
For sweetener I have used organic cane sugar
Ice Cream- To Add Or Not?
For any milkshake, ice cream adds rich taste ans texture. So if you are making this badam shake for guests or some special occasion you can add almond or vanilla ice cream. However if you are making this almond milkshake for toddlers and kids regularly then just almonds, milk and sweetener will do. You can add a small amount of fresh cream if you prefer.
