Which Fruits Go Well In This Recipe
Use fresh and sweet non citrus fruits for this recipe. My preferred ones are
banana, ripe and sweet
non fibrous ripe mangoes
muskmelon, again should be ripe and sweet
few pomegranate pearls
Having said that avoid adding kiwi, orange or grapes (may add a few just as garnish) in this recipe.
Can This Recipe Be Made Vegan?
Of course I have made this recipe vegan with both
- non dairy whipped cream
- coconut cream, both works very well.
Variations And Serving Suggestions
Serve fruit cream with a garnish of chopped nuts as I did here for a simplest dessert. You can keep both the whipped cream and fruits separately and mix just before serving.
Add few strands of crushed saffron and rasmalai extract for heady rasmalai flavored cream. You can also add few spoons of rabdi if available.
Add in few drops of rose water or even few teaspoons of rose syrup (reduce sugar if you add rose syrup though) to get a beautiful color.
While serving you can throw in some white chocolate shavings.

Preparing the fruits
Rinse, peel and chop the fruits into small cubes.
Refrigerate till use.
Making Fruit Cream
Combine whipping or fresh cream, cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla in a bowl. I used vanilla bean powder so the color of my cream is bit dark.
Whip until very soft peaks are formed.
Alternate between fruits and whipped cream in a serving bowl.
Garnish with more fruits and chopped nuts.

Fruit Cream Recipe
- 3 cups mixed chopped fruits
- 1 cup fresh or whipping cream 200 ml
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup soft cream cheese or hung curd
- 1 teaspoona vanilla extract
