How To Make Strawberry Tea Recipe
Pick and rinse red ripe strawberries and hull them. Chop the berries coarsely and measure 3/4 cup. You can slice them using a knife or use a food processor to chop it.
Add 3 cups of water to a sauce pan. Add sliced strawberries and few mint leaves torn. If you are adding sugar add.
Bring it to a boil. Boil in medium flame for 2-3 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved.
Remove the boiling water with strawberries from flame and dip in the tea bags.
Close the pan and let tea bags steep for 1-2 minutes. You can also add loose tea leaves but don’t forget to strain the tea using a tea strainer.
Remove the tea bags, add maple or sugar or honey and mix well. Now to the tea add lemon juice and mix.
Divide among three serving glasses and serve strawberry tea warm.
Expert Tips
Make sure to use ripe red strawberries for best taste.
It helps to taste the berries so that you will not end up super tart tea. Also make sure to add maple or honey to your liking. I have used maple syrup here.
You can also use frozen strawberries in this recipe.
Do not boil the mixture after adding tea bags or tea leaves.
You can garnish with finely chopped fresh strawberry before serving.

You can easily make iced strawberry tea during summertime with the same ingredients. Just follow the steps and once the tea is ready cool it down. Strain the tea to a pitcher.
Add ice cubes in a serving glass and pour tea over it. Serve 🙂 You can also prepare the tea with 1.5 cups boiling water and add 1.5 cups cold water to thin it down.
Can I make this tea with strawberry syrup?
Yes you can easily make this tea with syrup. However do not boil the water vigorously with syrup as we do with fresh berries. Also if you are sweetened syrup make sure to add less sweetener or leave it out as per taste.
If you are using strawberry syrup, just bring the water to a rolling boil, switch it off and steep the tea bags. Add 2-3 tablespoons strawberry syrup or strawberry juice per serving of tea and serve. You can use this strawberry sauce or the ones from grocery stores.
Can we make this drink ahead?
Yes but you will have to serve it as iced tea or cold tea. This strawberry tea stays good for 2-3 days in refrigerator.
Is strawberry tea caffeine free?
Yes if you use caffeine free tea as I did here.

This tea is rich in vitamins and anti oxidants. It helps in fighting inflammation. It also helps in improving immunity and also has anti aging properties.

No, this strawberry tea is a fruit tea with fresh berries and green tea or herbal tea whereas Starbuck’s strawberry acai drink is made of fresh berries, green coffee bean extract and acai powder.
