To make cheese toast sandwich at home we need these regular pantry staple ingredients along with cheese.
Veggies- Here I have used a mix of colored bell peppers. You can also use boiled corn, jalapenos, broccoli.
Cheese- I prefer to use a cheese that melts well like mozzarella. You can even use a mix of cheddar, four cheese.
Seasoning- While making for toddlers and kids you can just season the sandwich filling with some pepper powder and salt. Other seasonings you can use are finely chopped green chilies, dried or fresh herbs like basil, orgenao, chilli flakes.
How To Make Cheese Toast Sandwich Using a Sandwich Toaster?
If you have sandwich toaster you can use it for toasting the sandwich until crispy.
Prepare the filling and assemble the sandwich as mentioned in recipe below.
Preheat your sandwich toaster.
Slightly brush the plates with butter.
Place the prepared sandwich and close.
Switch on the toaster and toast according to manufacturer’s instructions. Most of the toasters will have auto power off once done.
If you want more crispy sandwich you can toast for 1-2 more minutes.
Serve cheese toast sandwich as breakfast or snack. You can also pack this sandwich in kids snack box. For adults you can serve this with tea or coffee.

How To Make Cheese Toast Sandwich Recipe Step by Step
Chop the bell peppers finely.
Add the chopped bell peppers into mixing bowl.
To that add grated cheese.
Add salt, pepper powder, dried herbs and mix well.
Butter 2 bread slices well on both sides.
Place 2-3 tablespoons of prepared cheese filling and close with another slice.
Heat a tava for 2-3 minutes.
Place the prepared sandwich and toast from both sides until crispy and golden. prepare the remaining sandwiches similar way. serve hot.

- 4 tablespoons salted butter
For cheese filling
- 3/4 cup chopped bell peppers green or mixed colors
- 3/4 cup grated cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs
- Salt to taste
